Club History

The Club formed in 1949 and initially played at the Harrowby Fields ground, using a lock up garage as changing rooms. They played in the Grantham League until 1966, when they transferred to the Lincoln League. In their first season the club won the league and cup double. They later went on to play in the Central Alliance and East Midlands Regional League. After the league was renamed the Midlands Regional Alliance, the club finished as runners-up in 1988?89, and won the league and cup double the following season.

In 1990 the club joined Division One of the United Counties League. After finishing third in their first season, they won the Division One title the following season, but were not promoted due to a lack of floodlights. In 2002?03 they finished as runners-up and were promoted to the Premier Division, where they finished third in their first season. However, after finishing bottom of the Premier Division in 2005?06 the club resigned from the UCL and returned to the Grantham League.

In 2007 the club joined the Lincolnshire League. After finishing bottom of the league in their first season, they switched to the Supreme Division of the Central Midlands League. At the end of the 2008?09 season the club was renamed Grantham Rangers, and moved to the South Kesteven Sports Centre where they ground shared with Grantham Town. At the end of the 2009?10 season an exodus of players and staff from the club, led to them having to withdraw from all competitions.

The club reformed in the 2012/2013 season re-entering the United Counties League Division One. With a new committee and returning to their original home ground at Dickens Road, the club finished in a creditable sixth position. Last season having secured currant main sponsor Environcom, the ground was renamed as The Environcom Stadium and the club gained promotion to the UCL Premier Division courtesy of a third place finish, accruing ninety two points and scoring an impressive one hundred and fifteen goals.

The club?s first season back in the Premier Division saw the Arrows finish in 17th position and also appear in the FA Cup for the first time in the club?s history.
