There were good performances by nearly all of the surviving six UCL clubs in the FA Cup even they did not all progress as all but one Deeping were facing higher grade oposition.

Boston produced the shock of the round as the defeated higher grade Hednesford Town from the Evo-Stick Northern Premier 2-0 at Tattershall Road. Fraser Bayliss gave the Poachers the perfect start opening their account after only 6 minutes and Simon Ashton double the advantage on 26 minutes.

Fellow Lincolnshire side Deeping Rangers are also through to the Second Round Qualifying after a 4-2 away win at Brocton.

Deeping raced into a three goal lead through goals from Coulson 11 minutes, Coupland penalty 55 minutes and Schiavi on 57 minutes to look like effectively sealing the tie. But the hosts high back with two goals in a two minute spell through Evans and Dean to set up a grand stand finish. The Badgers went all out for an equaliser, but were caught on the counter attack as Kilbride broke clear in the dying minutes.

Not so fortunate were Holbeach United who put up a brave fight at another Evo-Stick Northern Premier League Grantham Town who presently sit in second place, narrowly losing 2-1. Lee Shaw opened the scoring for the hosts on 24  minutes, with a Lewis Leckie penalty levelling the tie on 38 minutes, but what proved  to be the decisive goal also came from the penalty spot as Andrew Wright restored the hosts lead right on the half time whistle.

The same score saw Wisbech Town bow out at one time UCL side and now Evo-Stick Southern League Kempston Rovers. All the goals came late in this tie with the Walnut Boys opening the scoring on 72minutes through Michael Lyon and then Jake Newman doubled their lead after 82 minutes. Wisbech reduced the deficit and set up a tense finally when they scored with five minutes remaining.

Yaxley lost 1-0 at home to Dereham Town who presently sit level top of the Bostik League North. Attendance 125. While Division One side Potton United can count themselves unfortunate as they lost 1-0 to a Stanley Mugisha 84rd minute strike at another Evo-Stick Northern League outfit Rushall Olympic.
