Apologies for the Round-Up being very late this week but unfortunately I’m not very well at the moment, so hopefully you will bear with me for a short while until I’m back to normal again.

FUTURE LIONS UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE-PREMIER DIVISION
Pinchbeck United’s incredible unbeaten run finally came to a crashing end as Daventry Town cruised to a 6-0 win at Elderstubbs. Jordan Orosz opened the scoring after 20 minutes and Adam Creaney made it two from the spot on 27. Player-manager Ian Dunn was shown a straight red for The Knights as things got worse with a second for Orosz (68), Kieran Fitzgerald (70), Tom McGowan (76) and Phil Cassidy (86) cementing Daventry’s place at the top of the table.
There was a real shock at Eynesbury Rovers where Kirby Muxloe ran out 2-1 winners. Dan Barber reacted to a loose ball to score from a tight angle on 62 minutes, but Rovers equalised through Callum Milne six minutes later when he met a low cross at the far post. Parity lasted just four minutes though as Tyler Love was able to roll the ball into an empty net from distance with the Eynesbury keeper caught outside his box and the Leicestershire side had a shock win.
Oadby Town took the lead at Holbeach United through Darryl Russell after 19 minutes, but Billy Smith lobbed the keeper to level the scores eight minutes later. Danny Barker struck for the Tigers in first half stoppage time and that proved enough to earn the home side the points, with Oadby’s afternoon getting even worse as they had Jack Samples sent-off.
Spring may be a long-long way off, but the shoots of recovery are started to bloom at Tattershall Road where Jordan Tate netted from close range after 29 minutes to give his side a 1-0 win over Cogenhoe United. Stuart Lutter had saved a penalty just before the goal and for the last twenty minutes the Cooks did everything but score whilst hitting the bar three times, but it was Boston who were celebrating three points.
Rugby Town netted a 90th minute equaliser through Lewis Rankin to earn a point at Desborough Town who had taken the lead through Luke Stevens just after the hour.
Newport Pagnell Town held Deeping Rangers to a 1-1 draw at Willen Road. Scott Mooney gave the visitors the lead after 72 minutes, but Jake Stronge made it one-all just four minutes later.
Leicester Nirvana ran out 2-0 winners at home to Wellingborough Town with goals from Suleiman Nassor (21) and Jordan Smith (83) earning maximum points for the home side.
Peterborough Northern Star were 3-0 home winners over Harborough Town with Lucas Gereltauskas netting twice (31 & 49) and Josh Rosser adding the third.
Rothwell Corinthians picked up a rare point with a 2-2 draw at ON Chenecks. Dom Page netting both goals for the visitors after Brandon Williams and Nathan Burrows had both given the Northampton side the lead after a goalless first half.
Whitworth and Sleaford Town drew 0-0 at London Road with the main talking point being the sending-off of the visitors Sam Greenwood.
FUTURE LIONS UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE-DIVISION ONE
Anstey Nomads beat Bourne Town 5-2 with Corey Armeni (30, 88), James Hicks (50, 80) and Tendai Chitiza (90) outweighing Zak Munton’s double (45 & 88).
Lutterworth Town were three-nil up at half time in their game at Lutterworth Athletic, but a Lee Clarke brace after 71 and 83 brought it back to 2-3 before the final whistle. Goals from Luke Shaw (32), Marshal Keenan (39) and Kade Lewis (44) just proving too much for the Stamford club.
Lutterworth Athletic had Barnes Gladman and Callum Riley on target in their 2-0 win at home St Andrews.
Huntingdon Town made a great start at home to Holwell Sports and were 5-0 up at the break as Jamie Waterworth (4), Glen Spearink (5), Matt Wright (9, 26) and returnee Corey Kingston (45) were all on target in the first half. Ross Dunlop (64) and Ross McGarry (80) reduced the arrears, but Waterworth got his second five minutes from time to round off the scoring.
Melton Town were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Birstall United with Edi Appleton’s 82nd minute goal cancelling out Ryan Rowley’s 55th minute opener for the visitors.
Aylestone Park won 2-1 at Harrowby United with both the Leicestershire side’s goals coming from current Under-Eighteen’s players. Max Grassby put Park in front after just three minutes, but Steve Chaplin drew The Arrows level with nine minutes remaining. With the game heading for a point-apiece, Jake Wormleighton popped up with a winner on 87.
NORTHAMPTONSHIRE F.A JUNIOR CUP-SECOND ROUND
Matthew Smith stole the headlines as Thrapston Town came back from 0-3 down at home to Spratton, hitting all seven of his side’s goals in an incredible game at Chancery lane. Smith netting regularly with strikes after (35, 50, 52, 60, 63, 68 and 75) to secure a 7-3 win for the UCL side after Jordan King, Kenny Shipley and Matt Stevens had put the visitors into an unlikely three-goal lead.
Long Buckby were seven-up at half-time at home to Heyford Athletic before eventually easing through 8-1. Sam Lockley headed the UCL side ahead after 5 minutes and it was one-way traffic up until the break. Max Johnson netted a hat-trick with two free-kicks (12 & 34) and a penalty (45), with Tom Mellor (22), Alex Webb (28) and Halim Halim (30) all on target before the break. Mellor added his second on 69 before Zach Pugh-Brookes pulled one back soon afterwards on a miserable afternoon for the Combination club.
New signing Leon Lobjoit bagged a debut double for Sileby Rangers as they won 3-1 at Irchester United. The former Cobblers player scored after 30 and 41 after Alfie Taylor had put The Romans ahead on 25, with Ryan Archer adding Sileby’s third with thirteen minutes left.

Raunds Town were held 1-1 by Daventry Town Reserves with Ben Payne and Jimmy Lovell the respective scorers in the ninety-minutes. The Reserve Division side held their nerve in the shoot-out though and went through 4-2 on penalties.

FUTURE LIONS UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE-PREMIER DIVISION
Deeping Rangers made good use of the wind to lead 3-0 at the break in their home game against Boston Town and although the second half was much closer, they ran out comfortable 4-1 winners in the end. Billy Stubbs fired them in front following a corner on 16 minutes and Dan Flack made it two with a thirty-yard effort twelve minutes later. Scott Mooney added to his already impressive tally with the third on 39 and a thunderous strike into the top corner from Danny Durkin all but sealed the win three minutes into the second half. Jordan Tate made it three-in-three for the visitors when he followed up after Sam Vince had saved Robert Raducan’s shot just before the hour, but it was too little too late to salvage anything from this one for the Poachers.
Eynesbury Rovers got back to winning ways after dropping five points in their last two home games with an impressive 2-1 win at Peterborough Northern Star. The goals all came in a five-minute burst as Jemale McKenzie-Lowe put the visitors ahead on the half hour only for Matt Barber to level four minutes later. It only remained 1-1 for sixty-seconds though as Callum Milne struck again for Eynesbury and this time the home side had no reply.
FUTURE LIONS UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE-PREMIER DIVISION

BIRMINGHAM F.A SENIOR CUP-1ST ROUND
Early goals from Max Loveridge (6 mins) and Michael Nelson (23) proved enough to ease Redditch United past Rugby Town.
LEICESTERSHIRE & RUTLAND F.A SENIOR CUP-2ND ROUND
An all UCL tie at the Linwood Playing Fields saw Birstall United run out surprisingly easy 5-0 winners over their hosts Aylestone Park, while a late Josh Burniston strike was enough to give Melton Town a 1-0 win away at Friar Lane & Epworth. Lutterworth Athletic edge through 2-1 at home to Desford thanks to a Barnes Gladman double. Jack Hilton scored the visitors goal.
