HUCKNALL TOWN FC

Hucknall Town FC is a family friendly Community Football Club established in 1943 as Hucknall Colliery Welfare FC. The Club changed its name to Hucknall Town in 1987. From 1999 to 2004 they played in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, finishing Champions in 2003-04. However, as the Watnall Road stadium didn’t meet the then standards of the Football Conference, the club were refused promotion to the Conference National Division. In 2005-06 Townreached the Final of the FA Trophy losing 6 – 5 on penalties to Grays Athletic at the end of extra time following a 1-1 draw at full-time at Villa Park.

The Club was relegated at the end of the 2008-09 season and a further relegation followed at the end of 2010-11, which saw them drop into the NPL Division One South. Financial problems saw the club relegated again, two levels in 2012-13 to the Central Midlands Football League Division South (then step 7). In 2014-15 Hucknall Town won the CMFL League Cup. In the 2018/19 season the Club celebrated its 75thanniversary finishing as Champions of the Central Midlands League Division South and were promoted to step 6 in the East Midlands Counties League Premier. After two seasons seriously affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, 2019-20 & 20–2021 and with the EMCL ceasing to exist, Town moved into the United Counties League Division One for the start of the 2021-22 season and made the playoff semi-final but lost to Hinckley AFC, so resumes in UCL Division 1 in 22-23. The club moved to its new facilities on Aerial Way, Hucknall, NG15 6DW on 5th December 2022. The club celebrated the first game at the new ground on 7th January 2023 with a 3-2 win against Harrowby United. The club finished in 4th place in the table at the end of last season and clinched promotion to Step 5 with penalties shoot out wins at Bourne Town in the playoff semi final and at Birstall United Social in the final.

From the North: M1 J27 exit take A608 to Hucknall, turn right at traffic lights, take A611 to Hucknall, turn right at roundabout onto bypass. At second roundabout turn right onto B6009. Take the first left onto Ariel Way. The RM Stadium is on right. 1st car park on the right is for players and officials. 2nd car park on the right is for supporters.

From the South: If travelling from Nottingham City via Hucknall Road (A611) or Bulwell on A611 travel towards Hucknall and maintain A611 taking first exit at roundabout immediately after tram stop onto A611 Hucknall bypass travelling North. Straight on at roundabout, at second roundabout junction with Watnall Road first exit with Texaco garage on your left. Take the first left onto Ariel Way. The RM Stadium is on right. 1st car park on the right is for supporters. 2nd car park on the right is for players and officials.
