Year Formed: 1896
Moulton FC was formed in October 1896 and played their first game against the village of Old with the game ending in a 2-2 draw and a second game against Moulton WMC on Christmas day that same year.
Information is scarce up until after the Second World War but by the late 1940s the club had become a force in local football in the Mid Northants Football League wearing the famous Black and White Stripes apparently first used in the 1920s.
For three seasons on the trot 1948-49, 1949-50, and 1950-51 the club won the Division 1 League and Cup double as well as winning the NFA Lower Junior Cup twice in 1948-49 and 1950-51.
Following that the club were runners up in the NFA Junior Cup in 1951-52 and 1952-53.
Between then and 1979 the club had spells in the Kettering Amateur League and The Northampton Town League using the name of Moulton Wanderers in the process and playing in Red.
In 1979 a new Committee took over the club and the Magpies moved back to the Northamptonshire Combination (the old Mid Northants League) and the black and white kit was reborn.
The club were Division 2 runners up in 1986-87 and Division 1 runners up and League Cup winners in 1990-91 and won the Premier League and Cup double in 2003-04.
For the 2022-23 season the club applied for step 6 football for the first time and were successful and placed in the Spartan South Midlands League.
Success at this level followed and the club were Runners up in the Gladwich Trophy and won the Northants FA Junior Cup for the first time in its 127 year history.
The following season 2023-24 they won the NFA Junior Cup again and also the Spartan League Division 1 Knock out Cup, and in 2024-25 having finished 3rd in the League they won the end of season play-offs and were promoted to step 5 for the first time in the clubs history and entered the United Counties League Premier Division South.
