Thanks to the additional sponsorship from Sports Ground Development UCL clubs will be able to purchase electronic substitute boards at a larger discount. As attendances at non-league football continue to grow the boards will greatly aid communication between the dug outs and spectators to improve the matchday experience for everyone.
Sports Ground Development Ltd supplies and installs a large range of services and structures at sports grounds across the country enabling clubs to develop their facilities. Tom Cooper of SGD said: “I am delighted to be able to help out clubs in a league that I have had connections with for many years and is very important to me. This sponsorship enables us to further develop the links that we already have with many clubs in the UCL.”
Alan Poulain Chairman of the UCL said “The generous sponsorship from SGD Ltd, which added to The UCL subsidy, means the cost to the clubs becomes much smaller. With finances at clubs already stretched, the boards have become much more affordable and will add to their professional approach to the game.”
The United Counties League currently features 61 clubs across the Midlands in three divisions at steps five and six of the National League System.
