Loughborough Students Football Club, members of the United Counties League, made submissions to the FA Alliance Committee on their eligibility for promotion based on their compliance against National League System Regulation 7.3:
7.3 Teams from Higher Education or Further Education establishments are not permitted to compete above Step 5. This does not prevent any such establishment forming a Club which complies with all entry criteria and which is separate from the establishment itself.
Following scrutiny of the submissions made by the Club, the Alliance Committee were satisfied – by a majority – that Loughborough Students FC DOES satisfy the entry criteria and that the Club will be eligible for participation in the play-offs and/or promotion to Step 4.
